Managers And Promoters Of The NDSG – Open Dialog Initiative Series For The 2015 General Election (Nigeria’s General Elections Public Awareness Programm) – August 2014 – March 2015

The NDSG – Open Dialog Initiative Series for the 2015 General Election was a platform created by the National Democracy Stakeholders Group (NDSG) with the aim of globalizing and bringing Nigeria’s maturing democracy to parity with that of the democratically advanced world. The Project targeted all the eligible voters in Nigeria; its overall goal was to overwhelmingly engender the interest and participation of eligible voters in the Nigerian 2015 general elections. The Open Dialogue Initiative Series was sensitive to the various configurations, attributes, group and individual social traits of Voters. The project was designed with the objective of engendering a favorable and beneficial nationalistic fervor in the electioneering process in Nigeria.

The  deliverables of the Open Dialogue Initiative Series were: – the governorship and presidential candidates’ conferences which provided  platforms for the candidates to present their party’s manifestoes; Women/Youth Conferences, convened as part of the governorship and presidential conferences at State and National levels. The project also featured the public presentation of the Political Aspiring – Candidates Gazette for Election (PAGE) – a historical documentation of the candidates, their short biographies and positions on the issues of the 2015 elections. The platforms also featured ICT driven discussions, which created opportunities for broader knowledge sharing through reviews and contributions from huge online followership on the social media world over at the course of the project.
